The Unlike Portrait Awards and its participants support the Quina Care Foundation and its doctors. Quina Care was founded by two Dutch tropical doctors Jacob and Carolien. The objective is to improve medical care in rural areas where good care is still not available today. Quina Care aims to bring good and affordable care closer to these people by realizing a hospital in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Care is provided to many thousands of people who previously did not have access to it.
